Why Your Husband Thinks The Way He Does

2010 February 5

I’m a huge fan of Mark Gungor’s “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage.” This ten minute clip is worth every second you spend watching it.  Watch it this with you husband TODAY…because you both might figure out a better to communicate and guys – that unintentionally thoughtless you suffer from – there’s a reason!

Enjoy!

Hi Peggy! This guy is SOOO funny! I’ve had him on my blog twice. I could listen to him all day! Might as well have a good laugh over our inherent differences eh?

That is what I love about comedians. They make fun of what actually is a serious dysfunction. However it is a great way to make us aware and set us up to do something with that awareness in good humor.

Thanks, Peggy, for posting that. Our whole family (DH, me, and all three kids) enjoyed it. My husband acknowledged the existence of a “nothing box” and his affinity for relaxing through watching television as well. I certainly felt that the characterization of the female brain as completely interconnected was spot on; I think it was relief I felt when I realized I’m not the only one!

Again, we really enjoyed it. Thank you!

I am so glad everyone likes the Gungor clip! I love how, as Wilma pointed out, takes something very serious and explains it in a very funny way – humor helps us remember things – and the way men think vs the way women think is a very serious issue in marriages and relationships – because how we think comes through in how we communcicate…
