The StepCouple Bubble Challenge
Anyone see a pattern here? After each radio show, Erin and I come up with a challenge. Last night’s show was no different. Along with our guest, Susan Wisdom, author of “StepCoupling,” we came up with a super fun challenge:
The StepCouple Bubble Challenge
What have you done for your relationship today?
Get out your journal and a nice pen. For the next few days, weeks, months, or for the rest of your life, write down what you are going to do each day to strengthen your marriage (or relationship). What are you going to contribute to the everlasting bond you wish to have?
Practical Tips to Get You Started
Be More
- Understanding
- Compassionate
- Loving
- Kind
- Accepting
- Forgiving
Be Less
- Critical
- Judgmental
- Harsh
- Blaming
- Complaining
- Excuse Making
Go with the flow. Expand. Evolve. Lead and listen with your heart.
Have fun with this and check back next week and let me know how you’re doing!
(And if you are doing all three challenges – WOW! I’m envisioning my sister stepmoms in a much better emotional place!)

Hi Peggy and Erin. These challenges are indeed brilliant, just brilliant. Talking and then acting upon what we have heard, that is the way to make the difference we are all looking for, yeaah.
It is so good to hear our concerns explained and then hearing some examples on how to deal with them. I loved the explanation about becoming relaxed and stop sending DH on a mission to tell HIS kids how YOU want things to be. It makes sense to let settle things first and grow together towards an understanding and unity and finding a way that works for all.
It made so much sense that finding our way as a blended family requires time and growth and a willingness to sort it. It also shows that there is a way to sort it after all.
Thanks ladies for another great show, xox Wilma

Hi Wilma!
I’m finding these challenges helpful, not just for my sister stepmoms but for me, too. Sometimes taking a dose of my own advice and medicine is exactly what I need as well!!
xxoo
Peggy
This is an excellent segway from my last blog on how the 40 day challenge affected my relationship with my husband. Keep these challenges coming Peggy, I’ll be emotionally secure in no time!

Go Lisa Go!
There’s nothing sexier or better than an emotionally secure stepmom. I’ll let you know where your husband can send his thank you card
(that’s just joke – you’re doing all the work and deserve all the credit!!)
