The Only Constant is Change
This morning I stood in the quiet darkness of the parking lot at the Manchester, NH Armory and kissed my husband good-bye. I’ve known this day was coming for a little over a year. Preparation doesn’t make the separation any easier. Past experience in my first marriage with short tours, TDY’s and the First Gulf War doesn’t make this deployment any easier. Away is away. I will miss my man like crazy BUT I promised him that I’d make good use of my “missing him” time. There’s a book to write. A first degree black belt to be earned. A grand daughter to help take care of. A trip to Spain to plan. A vacation in the Keys with hubs while he’s on leave. Another wedding (hopefully) to help plan. A step-daughter to mentor while she learns what it’s like to be a military wife. A house to run and a home front to maintain.
Click on Camp Nolan (it’s a pdf file!) for a sneak peak and a link to a new blog I’ll be writing. (Don’t worry, I’ll still be writing on The Stepmom’s Toolbox Blog, hosting The Stepmom’s Toolbox Radio Show, and running my Infinite Yoga & Reiki business!)
