The Integrity Of Your Own Mind
If you want to be the full greatness you can be, you must give up the game and be your honest self. As Emerson put it, “Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind.” Rely on yourself and you become one of those who determine the future of the world.
Adam Kahn’s translation of Emmerson’s “Self-Reliance”
How many of us here have a hard time giving up the game and being honest with ourselves? And I mean, really honest with ourselves.
And the honesty I speak of comes from the you who no longer blames, complains, or makes excuses for things that are happening to us.
Got issues with your husband’s ex wife? Got issues with your finances? Got issues with your skids, kids and the neighbors dog? Got issues with your ex? Got issues with your spouse? Your boss? Your job? Your parents?
Whatever issue you might have, pause. What are you doing that’s contributing to the issue? What can you do to make amends where needed? What can you do to build relationships? What can you let go of that no longer fits your healthy lifestyle and healthy thinking?
How many of us here really have that INTEGRITY OF MIND that Emerson speaks of?
Blessings,
The Bonus Mom
