I know Erin is as exicited as I am to have Wednesday join us on Monday! You don’t want to miss this show! But if you can’t make it because of work, kids, different time zone, etc., you’ll be able to listen later.

I won’t be able to make the show, but I would like to know if Wednesday has any tips on getting that nagging voice out of my head that I am not DH’s first wife, first mother of his children and never will be. I imagine it might be easier if I had had a family of my own before marrying DH, but I didn’t. How do we stop the jealousy? Thanks!

If you have the time with Wednesday I’m curious to know what she thinks of the new 10 question census? She has posted several times about why stepmothers should be demanding a new, reworked census.
We haven’t gotten our form yet and I can’t get the details I’d like of the census website, so I don’t have any deep thoughts on it.
Put this one as a low priority, though! I’m sure you’ll have *plenty* to talk to her about! can’t wait!
I’m such a dork! The census forms won’t be mailed until March so unless Wednesday has some inside info–nevermind!

Just wanted to post that Stepmonster is like a permission slip for Stepmoms to feel the way they feel.
I love being a mom and I remember thinking that I would feel the same way for my stepdaugthers when I married their dad. When it didn’t happen, I felt like something was wrong with me. That maybe I wasn’t the loving mom I thought I was. While I do love my SDs very much it is a different type of love then the love I have for my biological children. Seems like stepmoms are just now opening up more about how they feel. Wednesday shows us that we are not alone and that our feelings are very NORMAL.
I’ll be tuning in tonight and encouraging all my smom friends to do the same.
