Meet the New Senior

Well…by the skin of his teeth, Junior passed summer school English.  Did he bother to call me?  The one who helped him, the one who went to bat for him with his teacher?  Nope.  He called his dad (which he absolutely should have and I’m glad he did), but seriously, to not get the call as well, is a bit of a sting.  Exactly where did I put my big girl panties? 

Makes me want to run right out in front of a bus (not really, but you get the idea)

Teenagers suck.

Survey Says!

My fellow blogger, sister stepmom and virtual reality friend, Carol Shwanda is writing a book of her own about blended families.  She’s got a fun survey, and yes, I took it this morning.  If you’ve got 15 – 20 minutes, take her survey – I think her book idea is brillant and look forward to joining her at book signings when we’re both published!

An Apology

Yes, Junior apologized with a bouquet of flowers for momentarily forgetting the time and effort I poured into him during his time in Summer School. And he really apologized. Yes, Virginia…there is a Santa Claus (and right now his name is Richard…)
