Be The Change You Want In YOUR Life

Aug 9, 2010 by

Being a stepmom is a lot like having a chronic disease of the nervous system. As a group, stepmoms are more likely to be stressed, anxious, nervous, uptight, sad, worried, depressed, angry, frustrated, irritable, and generally miserable. At least that’s what I’m seeing in the forums, groups, and comments on social media outlets.

Stepmoms ruminate, commiserate, complain, blame others and make excuses for their own behavior or circumstances. I once did and I want to show you how to stop and become the change you want in YOUR life.

Ladies, let’s get serious for a second…and I mean really serious. Your life is YOUR choice. Think about this. Ponder it. Everything you think, say, or do is your choice. You know that repetitive thinking you’ve got going on upstairs? You know…that stinkin’ thinking about your husband’s ex-wife, your step-children, your boss, a co-worker, or something you said or did that you’re beating yourself silly with. It’s white noise. Or as Eckhart Tolle likes to say,

It’s “mental static that serves no purpose.”

It’s nothing more than that voice inside your head. That voice isn’t you. It’s a life unto itself and it feeds off drama, chaos, fear, past arguments, past mistakes, and self-doubt…yummilicious meals you’re only too happy to feed it.

Did you know we’re the only species on this planet that makes a mistake and then we pay for it over and over and over and over (get the picture?) And we make others pay for their mistakes over and over and over and over. We agree to help each other suffer and pay for mistakes long since made. Being human sure is exhausting when we agree to help each other live in an emotional garbage dump.

I’m calling for a stepmom/remarried family environmental clean up. There’s too much emotional toxic waste and it’s polluting the very air we breathe. Cori Lynn Bailey describe it has our “Aroma of Negativity

  • Are you tired of living a disconnected life?
  • Are you exhausted from being tense all the time?
  • Are you easily distracted?
  • Are you under the spell of illusory or delusional thinking?
    • “She should be a better mother!”
    • “He should know that I like peanut butter on my toast!”
    • “I never should have made the effort…”
  • Are you stuck in a static state?

If you answered yes to one, two, or all of these questions, I hope you will join me and Teresa Thompson as we teach, learn, share, and experience “Change Your Agreements; Change Your World.” Click here for class details and to register. We look forward to seeing you in our private online classroom!
